Resettling with the wood

Limpopo National Park staff knew that in the post-resettlement location there was not enough timber for resettling residents to build their houses.  They agreed that resettling residents could cut down all the trees they wanted to before being resettled and arranged for transportation of the wood.  What does this say for the future?  How far will people have to go to find wood to build new houses?

The pictures taken below were taken by a resettling resident to express this concern.
